5 STARS IN UK FILM REVIEW.
Creating ‘Beneath A Mother's Feet’ has been an enlightening journey, filled with both rewarding moments and challenges. It's a path that has brought me face to face with the realities of film festivals — celebrating when the film connects and feeling disheartened when it doesn't find its place.
Receiving a 5-star rating from UK Film Review is particularly meaningful, especially because they rarely give 5-star reviews.
This experience, my first as a screenwriter and director, has been a mix of highs and lows. It's taught me a lot about the film industry, audience expectations, and my own creative process. The challenges, like not always fitting into the festival scene, have been tough but also valuable lessons in perseverance and belief in one's vision.
I didn't embark on this project for accolades. My goal was to share a story close to my heart, hoping it might resonate with others. The journey has reminded me of the unique perspectives we all bring to storytelling and the privilege of being able to share those visions through cinema.
A heartfelt thanks goes to UK Film Review for their thoughtful review. Knowing the film has found resonance is deeply gratifying and a reminder of why we venture into the uncertain yet rewarding world of filmmaking.
