CREWING UP & LOCATION SCOUTING.

This has been an exciting week!

We have been busy meeting potential editors; we onboarded our gaffer and production designer; we’ve received some brilliant options for the supporting actor roles from our casting director; and today, we received some incredible options for Wedad’s family home from our location manager.

We had a few considerations in our locations brief, including that the property should not feel “too grand”, but should also be sufficiently spacious to accommodate our crew, lighting and camera equipment.

These options have knocked it out of the park! They have far exceeded expectations. We have been presented with three beautifully characterful properties, with ample space, each of which could be perfect for helping to tell this story.

I cannot wait to see the locations in the flesh during our tech recce, which will take place in just a matter of weeks!
